Aoun receives Hague Conference Secretary-General
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received at Baabda palace, the Secretary General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) , Dr. Christophe Bernasconi, in the presence of Justice Minister Adel Nassar.
During the meeting, Bernasconi outlined the scope of the Conference’s work and highlighted the membership of several Arab and Mediterranean countries. He invited Lebanon to join the organization, stressing the importance of cooperation in applying the rules of private international law and facilitating transactions and procedures.
President Aoun expressed Lebanon’s readiness to cooperate in this field and his support for moving forward in this direction.
