President Joseph Aoun visited Defense Minister Michel Menassa and the Lebanese Army Command in Yarze.
Aoun stressed that “the army is a national institution that serves the interests of Lebanon and its people,” adding that the campaigns targeting the army and its commander “will have no impact on its performance.”
He warned that “if the army is shaken, the entire country will be at risk,” pledging to stand firmly against any attempt to undermine the military institution or its leadership. “Let your achievements speak for you,” he said, adding that “what is happening is only a passing cloud. The army stands for honor, sacrifice is its field, and it embodies loyalty to all of Lebanon.”
Minister Menassa and Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal thanked President Aoun for his visit, with the army chief emphasizing the importance of confronting any internal strife.
