Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar considered that today was a national democratic celebration uniting all Lebanese, and the process went smoothly, free from any significant pressure or security issues.
After the closure of polling stations in Mount Lebanon, Hajjar stated: Voter turnout in Mount Lebanon reached 44.59%, and the number of complaints was not significant, most of which were administrative. We also received complaints about electoral bribery, which have been forwarded to the judicial detachments.
He added, The vote counting process will be monitored from the operations room, and I am very satisfied with how this long day has unfolded. The important thing is that this electoral process was held on time, and it is crucial in Lebanon to adhere to constitutional deadlines.
