President Aoun submits two appeals to the Constitutional Council
President Joseph Aoun has submitted two appeals to the Constitutional Council. The first concerns Law No. 1, which pertains to leases of non-residential properties, and the second concerns Law No. 2, which amends certain provisions of laws related to the organization of the teaching body in private schools and the regulation of school budgets—both published in the Official Gazette on April 3, 2025.
The purpose of these presidential appeals is to clarify certain provisions in both laws to facilitate their implementation for the benefit of all concerned parties.
Additionally, the President sent a letter to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers aiming to activate the old rent law for residential properties in a way that preserves the rights of all parties involved.
