Rahi: Lebanon Is Not a Battlefield
Maronite Patriarch, Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi, stated that the time has come for Lebanon to regain its Arab role and return to its natural position within the Arab community, through restoring its constitutional legitimacy, and striving to regain its Arab legitimacy in cooperation with sister countries, paving the way for its full return to international legitimacy.
In his speech during the annual mass of Caritas Lebanon, Rahi said, The new Lebanon: A beacon of positive neutrality and openness to the world. In this vision, Lebanon is a country of meeting, not a battlefield. This vision aligns with Lebanon's history as a state founded on pluralism, cultural exchange, and values of freedom, modernity, and creativity. These principles are essential for fostering a more stable and prosperous future for the Arab world. Lebanon remains, as it always has been, an authentic Arab state, a bridge between East and West.
