Berri receives International Federation of Red Cross President, broaches developments with Interior and Municipalities Minister
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh, the President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Kate Forbes, in the presence of the Deputy Regional Director of the IFRC, Christian Cortez, the Lebanese Red Cross President, Dr. Antoine Zoghbi, the Secretary General of the Lebanese Red Cross George Kettani, and the head of the Medical- Social Services Department at the Lebanese Red Cross, Amina Berri Fawaz.
The delegation briefed Speaker Berri on the Federation's work programs and its efforts to support the Lebanese Red Cross, in addition to the programs and services provided during the current stage, especially during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
Speaker Berri later met with Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Hajjar, with whom he discussed the general situation, political and security developments, and matters related to the work of the ministry.
