Mikati meets National Moderation bloc
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met with the National Moderation Bloc at the Grand Serail. The bloc includes MPs Ahmad Al-Kheir, Walid Al-Baarini, Mohammad Sleiman, Sajih Attieh, Abdul Aziz Al-Samad, and Ahmad Rustom.
On emerging, Attieh highlighted three key issues during the meeting. Firstly, the bloc addressed construction permits issued by municipalities, ranging from 130 to 150 square meters, aligning with local practices and property rights.
Secondly, the bloc discussed funding for municipal federations to address waste management challenges, particularly in financially weak areas like theirs.
Lastly, the bloc emphasized the need for road maintenance, seeking support from the Ministry of Public Works to improve infrastructure in Akkar.
The National Moderation bloc thanked Prime Minister Mikati for his ongoing support to the region.
