Aoun Thanks Saudi Crown Prince, Eyes a New Phase in Relations
President Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in a telegram following his departure from the Kingdom. He described the warm reception as a reflection of the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia throughout history.
Aoun emphasized that his discussions with the Crown Prince had laid a solid foundation for a new phase in bilateral relations, with both sides agreeing to strengthen and develop cooperation across various fields.
He also conveyed his appreciation to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, asking the Crown Prince to relay the deep gratitude of the Lebanese people for the monarch’s historic support for Lebanon. Looking ahead, Aoun expressed his eagerness for a follow-up meeting to continue discussions on the key topics addressed during his visit.
