Iran congratulates Joseph Aoun
The Iranian Embassy in Beirut stated in a press release: We congratulate our brotherly Lebanon on the election of General Joseph Aoun as President of the Republic in an atmosphere of inclusive consensus.
The Iranian Embassy also expressed its wish for His Excellency's success and good fortune in his mission, looking forward to working together to strengthen the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon and to cooperate in various fields to serve the common interests of our two countries and enhance stability and prosperity in the region.
In a statement from the Lebanese Parliament, Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani congratulated the Lebanese people on the election of General Joseph Aoun as President of the Lebanese Republic and emphasized that consensus must continue in the new government's approach to confront the ongoing threats to Lebanon.
