Caretaker Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib held separate meetings with the Hungarian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ferenc Csillag, and Poland’s newly appointed Ambassador, Aleksandra Bukowska-McCabe, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
During his meeting with Ambassador Csillag, discussions focused on enhancing bilateral ties, the latest developments in Lebanon, the region, and globally, as well as Hungary's role under its current presidency of the EU Council.
Minister Bou Habib highlighted Lebanon's humanitarian challenges arising from the regional conflict and explored potential support from Hungary.
In a courtesy visit to mark the beginning of her tenure, Ambassador Bukowska-McCabe received Minister Bou Habib's best wishes for success.
The Foreign Minister reaffirmed Lebanon’s readiness to facilitate efforts to strengthen the historic ties between the two nations and deepen mutual cooperation.
Minister Bou Habib also expressed gratitude to Poland for supporting a UNESCO resolution that grants enhanced protection to Lebanon’s cultural heritage in times of armed conflict, prohibiting any harm to its cultural assets.
