Hochstein at the End of His Visit: We Have Made Further Progress
US envoy Amos Hochstein held a press conference at the end of his visit to Beirut, after meeting with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh for the second time during his visit.
Hochstein stated, I will travel from Beirut to Israel in an attempt to reach a solution, adding, We cannot publicly disclose the contentious points regarding the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, but the atmosphere is positive, and progress has been made.
He continued, We have made further progress after the meeting with Berri, and I will work with the new US administration on efforts to de-escalate tensions in Lebanon.
