Photo: Hochstein visits Aoun at his residence
Former President of the Republic Michel Aoun received US envoy Amos Hochstein at his residence in Rabieh, accompanied by US Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson in the presence of former Minister Salim Jreissati and former Lebanese Ambassador to Washington Gabriel Issa.
Hochstein briefed Aoun on the progress of ceasefire negotiations, and some ideas and proposals were discussed that aim to strengthen Lebanon's rights in these negotiations, as well as the crucial role of the Lebanese Army after the ceasefire.
