Finance Minister Yassin Jaber received British Ambassador to Lebanon Hamish Cowell, in his office at the ministry.
The discussion reportedly touched on the general situation in the country in light of the reforms undertaken by the government.
Minister Jaber affirmed that the government is proceeding with its reform plan,” emphasizing the need for the UK and the international community to assist Lebanon more effectively, particularly in terms of compelling Israel to adhere to the ceasefire and the provisions of Resolution 1701. Jaber considered that security stability is one of the most important factors that create a climate conducive for economic stability, opening up areas of growth, and encouraging investment.
Minister Jaber also met in his office with the head of the Central Inspection, Judge George Attieh, with whom he discussed matters of mutual interest.
