As part of the ongoing pursuit of individuals who opened fire during the municipal and mukhtar elections in the North Lebanon and Akkar governorates, army units—each supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence—raided the homes of several suspects and arrested eight individuals. Weapons and military-grade ammunition were found in their possession.
Additionally, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence raided the homes of wanted individuals in the Marah–Hermel area and arrested citizen (W.A.), who is wanted for multiple crimes including shooting, trafficking in military weapons, and theft. Military-grade weapons and a quantity of drugs were seized in his possession.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees are underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
