Prime Minister Nawaf Salam hosted Arab diplomatic corps members at the Grand Serail, led by Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashraf Dabbour for discussions on regional and Lebanese developments.
The PM praised Arab support for the new administration, reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to restoring its standing among Arab nations and ensuring it is not a platform for hostility toward friendly states.
Salam also highlighted the importance of a unified Arab stance against Palestinian displacement plans and briefed diplomats on his efforts to secure Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territories.
In turn, Dabbour expressed Arab solidarity with Lebanon and commended Salam’s stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that regional stability hinges on a just solution for Palestine.
Separately, Salam met with European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Šuica, accompanied by EU Ambassador Sandra De Waele, with whom he discussed strengthening Lebanon-EU ties.
Salam also received a delegation of European Parliament members from the Socialist and Democratic Group, led by Iratxe García Pérez, for talks on political developments.
Additionally, the Prime Minister met UNFPA Deputy Executive Director Andrew Saberton, with whom he discussed post-war reconstruction efforts and UN-Lebanon cooperation.
