The Lebanese Army - Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement:
Military units continue to deploy across all southern border towns, in coordination with the Quintet Committee overseeing the ceasefire mechanism and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), following the withdrawal of Israeli forces. However, the enemy has not fully withdrawn from Lebanese occupied territories, as required by international conventions, legitimacy, and UN resolutions—foremost among them Resolution 1701. It continues to maintain positions at several border points and persistently evades its commitments while violating Lebanese sovereignty through ongoing attacks on Lebanon and its people.
In this context, specialized military units have intensified efforts to support the return of residents to their lands by clearing debris, reopening roads after the extensive destruction caused by Israeli aggression, and handling unexploded ordnance and suspicious objects that pose an imminent danger to civilians.
The army underscored the importance of adhering to the instructions of deployed military units to prevent casualties.
