The Quintet Ambassadors from Egypt, France, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar met with Free Patriotic Movement leader Gebran Bassil continuing their efforts to navigate Lebanon's political gridlock.
The diplomats, part of a five-nation group focusing on Lebanon, aim to separate clashes between Israel and Hezbollah from the presidential file, a key step toward resolving the country's ongoing crisis.
The ambassadors held discussions with Bassil at his Bayada residence, marking the second day of their meetings in Beirut. Egyptian Ambassador Alaa Moussa confirmed that they had reached an agreement with Bassil regarding the need to separate the Israel-Hezbollah clashes in the south from Lebanon's presidential file.
Ambassador Moussa emphasized the group's commitment to fostering dialogue and trust among Lebanese parties, noting that common ground is increasing day after day.
