Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a series of meetings at the Grand Serail, addressing critical development, security, and ministerial issues.
In the morning, Mikati met with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), led by the UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, Celine Moyroud, in the presence of representatives from the North Development Authority.
Discussions focused on findings and recommendations from a recent UNDP survey conducted in Tripoli and northern Lebanon.
Toufic Dabbousi, President of the Tripoli and North Chamber of Commerce, highlighted efforts to improve services in the region through collaboration with UNDP.
Mikati later hosted Imran Riza, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Lebanon, alongside Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh Al-Shami and advisors Ziad Mikati and Samir Al-Daher.
The meeting reportedly explored avenues for enhanced coordination between the Lebanese government and UN agencies.
In subsequent meetings, Mikati discussed ministerial matters with Minister of Education Abbas Halabi and reviewed security issues and Defense Ministry affairs with Minister of Defense Maurice Slim.
Mikati also received MP Ahmad Rustum, followed by Lebanon's ambassadors to Guinea Fadi Zein, and Morocco Ziad Attallah, for consultations on diplomatic affairs.
