Berri follows up on developments
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh, the Secretary-General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Jagan Chapagain, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting took place in the presence of the Lebanese Red Cross President, Dr. Antoine Zoghbi, and a delegation of the Lebanese Red Cross.
Discussions reportedly touched on the country’s general conditions, particularly the humanitarian situation, as well as the displaced persons’ file, and the work programs of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, at the current stage, in addition to launching the international campaign to support the Lebanese Red Cross.
Speaker Berri also received the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Barış Ulusoy, who came on a farewell visit, upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
Discussions touched on the general situation and the latest political and field developments in light of the escalating Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
