Baissari, UNHCR’s Freijsen discuss Syrian refugee data
he Acting Director of Lebanon’s General Security, Brigadier General Elias Baissari, welcomed Head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Office in Lebanon Ivo Freijsen. The meeting addressed the Syrian displacement file in Lebanon and the practical steps taken to address it.
In this context, Baissari highlighted the paramount importance of obtaining the Syrian refugee data, so that the General Security can implement its strategy in addressing the Syrian displacement file in accordance with Lebanese and international laws.
