Aoun Marks Internal Security Forces Day, Praises Sacrifice and Commitment to the Rule of Law
President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, congratulated the Internal Security Forces on the occasion of their anniversary, commending officers and personnel for their role, alongside Lebanon’s other military and security institutions, in protecting citizens, safeguarding the country and upholding the rule of law.
Aoun said members of the Internal Security Forces had demonstrated resilience during some of Lebanon’s most difficult periods, describing them and their fellow servicemen as a vital barrier against chaos and state collapse. He paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty, saying their sacrifice remains etched in Lebanon’s memory.
The president reaffirmed his vision of a state governed by the rule of law and strong institutions, calling on Internal Security Forces personnel to continue serving with dedication, professionalism and loyalty to the nation above all else.
