Fadlallah says Iran conditioned US agreement on ending war in Lebanon
MP Hassan Fadlallah said that the Islamic Republic of Iran stands with us and supports us, claiming that Tehran has tied any agreement with the United States to ending the war on Lebanon. He said this condition was set by Iran’s leadership, adding that the war will not stop only in Iran, but across the whole region, especially in Lebanon.
Fadlallah also called on the Lebanese authorities to benefit from the regional umbrella taking shape in Islamabad, saying the developments in the region are very significant and will affect Lebanon. He stressed Hezbollah’s confidence in Iran’s role and support, saying the group had endured 15 months of bloodshed and aggression.
His remarks came during a ceremony organized by Hezbollah honoring fighters from Khirbet Selem who were martyred defending Lebanon and its people during what the group referred to as the Asef el Ma'koul battle. The event was held in Bir Hassan and attended by MPs Amin Sherri and Ayoub Hmayed, along with religious figures and residents.
